Kathleen Pak - Dance Instructor & An Aspiring Doctor

Kathleen 2

For Kathleen Pak, dancing is her greatest joy. She did not start off as a dancer, but as a gymnast. 8 years of training has equipped her well with flexibility and body control, allowing her to transit comfortably into the world of dance. Joining the dance team of her secondary school, Diocesan Girl’s School, she was first acquainted to modern dance; thereafter taking jazz funk and lyrical jazz classes from City Contemporary Dance Company. 2 years later, she was dancing as a lead in her school’s 153rd anniversary musical production.

After graduating, Kathleen Pak was introduced to Salsa in the Aberdeen University Dance Society classes, by Ergun Karasalih, who remains her inspiration to this day. Leaving Scotland and moving to Melbourne, her passion for dance continued and she is now into Ballroom and Argentine Tango. She has also also performed Bachata with the Bamboleo Team in Melbourne. Having now experienced the dance scene in Scotland, Melbourne and Hong Kong, she is an experienced social dancer and love attending events wherever she goes.

She recently joined Javed’s Dance With Style team and is proving to be an asset. She assists in teaching all the classes in the studio and at the events besides working alongside the team in the promotion and marketing of Dance With Style’s events and classes.

She is currently studying Medicine and aspires to become a doctor. People often ask her, “How do you find the time to dance?” to which she always replies, “When you love something, you will create time.“ Attagirl! That’s the spirit!
